Our History and Our Environmental Story
1983 was the year MilliCare began as a group of dedicated service contractors in London, England by Mr. Alan Mowe. Alan believed he could develop a team of inexperienced people and teach them how to clean carpet with a dry cleaning product. He saw value in developing inexperienced people in that they would not have a bias toward cleaning the carpets the old fashioned way. He believed, similar to taking your finest clothing to the dry cleaning, a customer should not soak their carpets, but rather have their carpets cared for by a high quality dry carpet cleaner.
The idea met with so much success, word spread to America and in 1989 the first MilliCare location was opened in Wilmington, Delaware. In 1996, the MilliCare network became known as MilliCare Textile and Carpet Care.
The President of MilliCare by Trilogyfm was Mr. Mowe's first salesperson back in 1989. He worked for Mr. Mowe for 5 years. In 1995, he moved to Atlanta and went to work for Milliken & Company. In 1997, Mr. Haslach left Milliken & Company and created MilliCare by Trilogyfm.
Today, the MilliCare system continues to be the industry leader, the one all others are compared. It is tried and true. It works!
Clean Solutions Clean Conscience
When you think about your company's environmental impact, carpet maintenance may not be your first consideration. Here are a few facts that may make you reconsider. Hot water extraction methods use 319% more energy to clean the same square footage as milliCare. that translates into 77% higher emissions.
A clean work environment sends a clear message to your employees and customers. It says you care about their health, their comfort, and the company itself. It also reflects good business sense, since maintaining clean carpet and textiles will save you money in the long run. You'll extend the life of your carpet, minimize employee sick days and be more productive.
Nearly 80% of American businesses use sustainable materials. What these businesses may not know, however, is that the maintenance of these materials has a far greater impact on the environment than the materials themselves. MilliCare was designed with both you and the environment in mind. Our nontoxic, dry polymer system can help minimize your carbon footprint and keep your company green.
Reducing Carpet Waste
According to the EPA, companies can help the environment most by practicing the three R's: reduce, reuse, recycle. Of those, waste reduction has the most impact. Which is why milliCare's cleaning process is so environmentally friendly. It keeps carpet out of landfills by significantly extending the life of your carpet.
Less Water. Lower Water Bill.
Water based cleaning systems not only break down carpet backing, but they also run up your water bill adding to the expense of keeping your workplace clean. milliCare's dry cleaning system uses 95% less water and keeps utility costs to a minimum.
But don't just take our word for it
